Author Interview Jack Agüeros AUTHOR & TRANSLATOR Jack Agüeros was born in New York City in 1934. The recipient of numerous awards, he has published poetry, plays and children’s stories, and has written works broadcast on television, most notably works for Sesame Street and WNBC-TV Channel 4. For nearly ten years he was director of El Museo del Barrio in East Harlem, the premiere Puerto Rican Museum in the United States.
