AUTHOR & TRANSLATOR
Nguyen Qui Duc was born in Dalat and came to the United States in 1975. He has been a radio producer and writer since 1979, work-ing for the British Broadcast Corporation in London and KALW-FM in San Francisco and as a commentator for National Public Radio. His work has appeared in The Asian Wall Street Journal Weekly, The New York Times Magazine, The San Francisco Examiner, The San Jose Mercury News, and other publications, and he has published essays and stories in City Lights Review, Salamander, Zyzzyza, Van Hoc and Hop Luu. He is the author of Where the Ashes Are: The Odyssey of a Vietnamese Family, and a translator for The Other Side of Heaven.
